Use any leak detection method that is approved by regulatory authorities. If any part of the fittings and the pipes are damaged and leak products, they have to be replaced quickly. In addition, all loose fittings should be tightened which may also solve the previous problem. Plus, pipes that are made out of plastic that is strengthened with fiberglass can be fixed but only according to national codes and according to manufacturer instruction. The fiberglass pipes have to be checked within 30 days of being repaired using the above mentioned methods. This does not include internal inspections and after 6 months, all of the systems that have cathode protection also need to be tested to ensure it is working well enough to meet safety and quality standards.
